Vintage 150mm Feather Edge File
These vintage files are unused and in great condition. Used to sharpen Japanese saw teeth or for small delicate shaping they will last a long time, assuming you are brave enough to start sharpening your own saws in the first place, that is. Text on original box reads “Double Edge Slotted File” and then a really interesting phrase - ichi da iri. Still working out exactly what this means on the box, but basically it is a Japanese carpentry phrase roughly meaning one load or batch of tools on a job site, or one unit or action relating to a job. Maybe the manufacturer was saying that this box contains the exact amount of files you will need on one project? Not sure yet and will update when I know for sure. If you know then let me know!
