Wooden Nails

$25.00

These traditional Japanese wooden nails are sturdy fasteners that can be used in a variety of projects. Simply drill a hole with the appropriately-sized tapered drill bit (these are sold separately), glue and insert nail, flush cut and plane/chisel/sand. Because they are tapered they offer greater strength than a non-tapered dowel, and a very different look and feel of a metal nail or screw. They are available in a range of sizes, and each size requires a different sized drill bit. All nails are made of Japanese white birch or beechwood.

*Nails require pre-drilled holes made with a tapered bit, sold separately.
